A western Pennsylvania doctor faces a May 2012 sentencing date for inappropriately touching more than a dozen female patients during arthritis-related exams. On March 19, 2012, an Allegheny County trial judge convicted 54-year-old Thomas Tyma of 17 counts of indecent assault and harassment during a non-jury trial. Several female patients testified that Tyma touched them inappropriately during exams at the Allegheny North Arthritis Center in Pine. He was arrested in January 2011. Tyma’s sentencing is scheduled for May 24, 2012.
