The Lancaster New Era reports that police are asking for information which will help them to identify the driver of a hit and run vehicle which struck two Lancaster County girls riding bikes just outside of Mountville. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on September 20, 2011 on Columbia Avenue, west of Oakridge Drive, Manor Township. Police believe that the girls were struck by the vehicle as they rode their bikes eastbound on the shoulder of the roadway after going to a Turkey Hill for slushies.

Police are looking for a light gold sedan missing its passenger-side mirror. Police ask anyone with information to call township police Sgt. Carolyn Gundel at 299-5231.
